What is a private doctor or a doctor of your choice?
A doctor of your choice or a private doctor is a registered doctor without a contract with the statutory health insurance. This results in significant advantages for patient care, which include the following:
- No waiting time in the medical office
- Early appointments
- More time for patients
- Individual care and attention
What does it cost?
The private doctor settles the cost of treatment directly with the patient. The costs are reimbursed by the health insurance company after you submit the fee note to the health insurance company. I shall be glad to assist you in submitting the fee note to your insurance. As the large majority of the services offered by me qualify for reimbursement, you may expect a refund of about 50-80% of the costs by the statutory health insurance. If you have a private health insurance you may assume that the entire costs shall be reimbursed. For patients insured at the KFA insurance company, the costs can be billed directly through the Ecard.
